Japan is one of the best tourism country in the world. Especially, Tokyo is the best city which you can feel modern and traditional things. However, if you aren’t Japanese speaker, it is hard for you to communicate with local people because most Japanese don’t speak English…..
Today, I’m going to tell you little tips which you can find English speakers in Japan.

Most of Japanese rarely speak English
Why Japanese don’t speak English ?
Most Japanese don’t speak not only English but also other foreign languages because there are very different grammar between foreign languages and Japanese. So the reason lets most Japanese unwilling to study other languages. In addition, they hesitate to speak other languages because usually they take care of grammar or pronunciation too much. Third, they can live in Japan easily without another languages.
There are just my feeling and opinions however it corrects I believe.
However, not everyone
Recently, Japanese government promotes about English education in public school. In addition, there is a company which determined about the company’s official language is English nowadays.
So, if you visit to my country, you can find a person easily who speaks English.
How to recognize a English speaker in Japan ?
I’m going to tell you some tips about this.
Young generation
If you see young generation in Japan, they may speak English because I told you in the previous paragraph, Japanese government promotes about English education for young lings. If they don’t speak your languages fluently, they may understand what you say.
Businessman
If you visit to central Tokyo, you will able to see many businessman. Possibly, they do daily work using English for instance, trading, banking jobs or tourism.
Actually, my co-worker speaks other languages because they work using this language’s skill.
Foreigner who live in Japan
There are many foreigner in Japan especially Tokyo. They are from India, Pakistan, Southeast Asia, Europe or America. Maybe, they are living in Japan.
Indeed, my partner is from Europe and living almost 7 years so, you can find them easily.
Traveling Japan is not difficult you thought !
I have been to some countries not speaking English for example Azerbaijan or Hungary. It was difficult to communicate with local people however, it was not a big matter because I have Google translate in my Phone. It made me easy to communicate with them. In addition, there were some English speaker both of countries at least.
I learn English recently so there are some mistake like a grammar in this article however, I’m very happy if this article help you who travel in Japan or plan to visit my country.
